Scott received his Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1990. Over the past decade, Scott has recovered millions of dollars for his clients and obtained successful million dollar Court decisions against the New York City Water Board and the City of New York. Scott is frequently consulted by real estate professionals concerning water and sewer billing issues and has been recognized by Courts in New York State as an expert in the auditing of water and sewer charges. He has testified in various courts in New York State and has offered testimony before the New York City Water Board concerning water and sewer billing policies. Scott has also been active in the legislative process meeting with elected officials in Albany concerning New York City water and sewer billing regulations and legislation. Prior to specializing in utility auditing, Scott was a partner in the law firm of Goldberg & Johnston P.C., where he was a trial attorney specializing in real estate, personal injury and corporate matters. Jason received his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University Law School in 1995. For the past eight years Jason has developed an expertise in auditing all aspects of utility and property tax charges. Jason secured numerous million dollar adjustments in auditing water/sewer, gas and electric utility charges. He has also been successful in overturning millions of dollars worth of New York City Department of Finance tax lien sales. Jason has been qualified as an expert witness in utility auditing matters by New York State Courts. Jason founded and oversees Metropolitan’s sub-meter rebill/collect and automatic meter reading (AMR) service. Prior to specializing in utility auditing, Jason was an associate with Sukenik, Segal & Graff, PC, where he specialized in complex multi-million dollar real estate litigation. Larry joined Metropolitan Refunds in January 2001 after spending 30 years with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). He has held many positions during his tenure at DEP, including Deputy Borough Manager of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Borough Offices. Larry was instrumental in establishing automatic meter reading (AMR) services in the City and has brought that expertise to Metropolitan Refunds. Larry’s experience at the DEP and his knowledge of the City’s water and sewer billing system serve as a unique tool for our clients.
